    Sensei Andy started to train in Judo at the age of 8, then went onto Jiu Jitsu at the same hall on different nights.....during Sensei's martial arts career he has also trained in Wing Chung Kung fu, Shukokai Karate, Kendo, Iai do, Kick boxing, Muay Thai and of course Shotokan Karate.


    Sensei grades stand for themself, his instructors included many of the greatest British and Japanese masters Watt & Waters Sensei and Kase & Shirai Shihan.

    Sensei achieved many regional and national titles and experienced success in both Kata and Kumite for many associations, SKU, SWKUE, ASKA, MAC, EKC, AKA, AMA, Zanshin kai, SKF, NKF and SEKAI ICHI to name a few!

    Sensei also coached both his own teams and others to European success. He has been a national and regional rep/ technical committee member of many assoccations and has trained and been invited to teach around the world, in the UK, Russia, Norway, France, Belgium and Italy.

    In 1989 Sensei founded the Sekai Ichi Shotokan Centres Assoccation and was a professional instructor/competitor/Coach and refree from 1992 to 1997. In 1990 Sensei was invited to join the WKSA by Sensei Ronnie Watt.


    Sensei Yondan was verified by Kase Shihan and he had the privilege of being invited to sit on Dan grading panels with Kase Shihan.


    Sensei Captained the England team in 1993, 1995 and 1996 to European success and were given two civic receptions to honour their victories. Sensei gained his Godan in through the NKF and WKC in late 1997 Sensei retired due to business commitments and karate politics.
